Another (painful) ride in the books.

Faster Velocity Group Ride by tmckibbon at Garmin Connect - Details

Certainly, I wouldn't be able sustain such speeds any longer than the 32 miles this evening. For me, it becomes a competition (with whomever will join, mostly, it's just me) to see who, while breathing (heaving) the heaviest while going uphill, can breathe the quietest.

Felt like throwing up on the big climb. Still finding that it is taking 10 k or so to warm up; the beginning of each ride finds me struggling to stay attached to the group.

Still riding and wondering what kind of cyclist I'd be if I lost the 42 extra pounds. Maybe a 50 mile ride at such a pace would be possible? Not sure.

Sure is fun though. Would love to get Bill and Roland and Dayna (and maybe Arnold) out on one of these rides. They'd enjoy it. Hoping Ellen will take it up too. One day, when Big Ben is older, she could very fast too and grow to like it and not fall trying to get and out of her pedals.

Arnold, don't depart IFR unless you have been issued a SID.

Dayna, get your bike tuned up.

Roland, you are a born climber and, the orange triple butted steel frame will win you many a kudos with the group.

Ellen, Ben is looking for you. Again.

Rob, you'd make an excellent cyclist too.

Kerry, please maintain your anonymity.

Claudio, I need another recipe.

Margaret, where are you?
