A Bridge Too Far tmckibbon - Details

BONK!!!

The link to the Garmin Data is above. Bob, I would love to be able to run 33kms. Howcum no followers? Rob, be a follower. Hannah, be a follower. Hayley, be a follower. Colin, be a follower. Dayna, come for a ride with me. Ellen, be a follower, and then come for a ride with me. Claudio, be a follower, and then let's discuss pasta dishes.

Anyway, the ride......

What a beautiful day!!! Strange thing you know, seemed like the wind was behind me out the Loughheed and then it started ripping just before I got to the Mission Bridge, a bridge too far.

It was at my back most of the way through Matsqui and westbound into Abbotsford as well. The crosswinds were quite apparent for the first time since riding my bike for the first time; a bit of a profile to them Zondas.

Thought about Dayna during the ride, especially climbing a really steep road. (Once, while riding up from Spanish Banks up to the UBC campus, Dayna had sped by me, giggling all the way. I mean, seriously, who laughs while suffering a climb?

Anyway, ran out of steam on the Fraser Highway just leaving Abbotsford. As Rob C so eloquently put it: "Good thing the support team was there." Very true. Thanks to Ellen, Zach, James and Ben.

41 miles (or 65 kms, not too shabby, however, I'll have to be able to to this ride TWICE in one day, exactly 90 days from now.

Thanks for the comments people, keep up the good work.
